DESCRIPTION:In Folia – Among the Leaves Artist Statement CLAIRE LERNER Drawing on nature’s intricate forms and subtle shifts\, I create abstract paintings that explore the essence of leaves. My work is not about literal representation\, but about translating the feeling and energy of a leaf’s life cycle onto the canvas. I break down the leaf into its most basic components—line\, shape\, and color—to build a new reality on the canvas. The work moves beyond botanical study to become an investigation of form i
